Tamagotchi Classic App Review

What is Tamagotchi Classic? The new Tamagotchi Classic, now available for iPhone and iPad devices, is the modern equivalent of the old virtual pet craze of the 90s. Tamagotchi Classic can only be purchased from the App Store for free and is not available on any other devices. What's interesting about this is that this app isn't actually a game.

It's an iPhone/ iPad app that recreates the world of a traditional Japanese pet store. Users purchase virtual pets based on their interests. Pets can be pets like Koi fish (for those with a more "traditional" style of lifestyle) or Koi turtles. Tamagotchi classic has many features that are very similar to the older virtual pet sites. The most notable being the ability to make in-app purchases.

If you remember the old Tamagotchi craze, you know that these toys were quite collectible back then. The dolls came in all shapes and sizes, as well as colors. Tamagotchi was no doubt one of the most popular toys of the 1990s, and its popularity only seemed to grow following the release of the Tamagotchi Classic. Some people may find this new app too similar to the old Tamagotchi Classic, but that shouldn't stop people from giving this app a shot. It may even be a good way to get your old Tamagotchi Classic and put it up on eBay to earn some money!

Tamagotchi Classic allows you to create and play with five different virtual pets. When you create your character, you can choose which pet you would like to adopt, what kind of pet you would like to have (if you chose any at all), and how many virtual pets you'd like to have. You can also change your avatar (the little doll) at any time to better match your mood or to better reflect your personality. This fun game is simple and addictive, so you'll probably spend many happy hours playing it.

One of Tamagotchi's coolest feature is the ability to add your picture to the screen. You can change the image simply by clicking on the image, or by dragging and dropping an existing image onto the screen. This is great for people who don't want to look like they're standing beside a human doll, but it can also be used for creative purposes. For instance, if you're creating a character for a preschooler, the child can add a cute photograph of themselves to make it look more like a special pet.

If you don't want to mess with changing images, Tamagotchi Classic provides a handy method of resetting your virtual Tamagotchi to its original state. To do this, simply tap on your Tamagotchi l.i.f.e icon to open up the settings, and then scroll to Tamagotchi classic app. Next, touch "Reset Tamagotchi" to toggle it back to its original state. It's a quick and easy way to go from loving status icons to those representing real-life pets.

However, one aspect of Tamagotchi Classic that keeps it from being considered a true classic is its lack of support for in-app purchases. The in-app purchases are only available on the Japanese version, and as a result, it's not accessible to people outside of Japan. Although it's not available on iOS yet, it's a good idea to keep tabs on the possibility as more platforms like Android get their share of the market. If an app becomes a runaway success around the world, it would be a shame not to have a version of Tamagotchi available to everyone.

Tamagotchi is a fun and charming game that comes pre-installed on many smart devices. It's also one of the few games that can still be found on the iPhone, iPod Touch, and Blackberry. Despite its lack of support for in-app purchases, the Tamagotchi classic is still one of the most fun and unique virtual pet games available on any platform.
